Fleet Hunt

The sea battle ship-hunting game. Find their four ships before they find yours.

You each get your own sea with four hidden ships on it. Take turns tapping a square of your rival’s sea: a miss ends your turn, a hit lets you shoot again. Sink all four ships to win. Your ships are only ever on your own screen.

How to play Fleet Hunt

Each of you has your own 8×8 sea with four ships: one of four squares, two of three and one of two.
Tap Shuffle until you like where your ships are, then Ready. Ships never overlap but may touch.
Take turns firing at a square of your rival’s sea.
A miss ends your turn; a hit lets you fire again.
Sink all four of your rival’s ships to win. Your fleet is only ever shown on your own screen.

Tips to win

Fire in a checkerboard pattern at first: every ship covers at least two squares, so you cannot miss one entirely.
After a hit, try the four neighbours, then follow the line once you have two hits.
Since ships may touch, a sunk ship does not rule out the squares right next to it.

How a match works

Open the game on your device and press play.
Get matched with someone straight away, or send a friend your private room link and wait for them to join.
You take turns; each move appears on the other screen as soon as the server accepts it. A match takes about 5 minutes.
Lost your connection? Come back within a minute and the match carries on where it stopped.

Questions

Can I play Fleet Hunt online with a friend?

Yes. Open Fleet Hunt, choose to play a friend and send them the private room link, they open it on their own phone or computer and the match starts when you are both ready. You can also invite a player by username, or take a quick match against whoever is waiting.

Is Fleet Hunt free, and do I need an account?

It is free, with no download and no account needed: press play and you join as a guest. Create an account later if you want to keep your match history and earn a rating on the leaderboard.

Can my rival see where my ships are?

No. Your ships are kept on the server and only sent to your own device, so there is no way to peek.
