Take turns turning over two cards. Find a matching pair to keep it and go again; miss and both cards stay visible while your rival takes a turn. Most pairs wins.

How to play Memory Match

Twenty-four cards lie face down in a 6×4 grid: twelve pairs, shuffled.
On your turn, turn over two cards. Both of you see them.
If they match, the pair is yours and you go again.
If they do not, both cards stay face up until the next card is turned, and it is your rival’s turn.
When all twelve pairs are found, whoever has more pairs wins. Six each is a draw.

Tips to win

Watch your rival’s turns as closely as your own, every card they reveal is free information.
Turn over a card you have not seen yet first; if it matches one you remember, you know where the second one is.
Late in the game, avoid revealing new cards when you are unsure: you may be setting up your rival’s pair.

How a match works

Open the game on your device and press play.
Get matched with someone straight away, or send a friend your private room link and wait for them to join.
You take turns; each move appears on the other screen as soon as the server accepts it. A match takes about 5 minutes.
Lost your connection? Come back within a minute and the match carries on where it stopped.

Questions

Can I play Memory Match online with a friend?

Yes. Open Memory Match, choose to play a friend and send them the private room link, they open it on their own phone or computer and the match starts when you are both ready. You can also invite a player by username, or take a quick match against whoever is waiting.

Is Memory Match free, and do I need an account?

It is free, with no download and no account needed: press play and you join as a guest. Create an account later if you want to keep your match history and earn a rating on the leaderboard.

Is the layout the same for both players?

Yes. You both play on the same shuffled board, and every card turned over shows on both screens, so it is a true memory contest.
