Perfect Timing

The stopwatch timing challenge. Stop your stopwatch closest to the target time.

Every round shows a target time. Tap to start your stopwatch, then tap again when you think the target has passed, the clock hides after three seconds, so you have to feel it. Whoever stops closest to the target wins the round. First to three round wins takes the match.

How to play Perfect Timing

Each round shows a target time between 5 and 20 seconds.
Tap to start your stopwatch. The running clock is visible for three seconds, then it hides.
Count in your head and tap again when you think the target has been reached.
Whoever stops closer to the target wins the round, early or late counts the same. Forget to start and you lose the round.
First to three round wins takes the match.

Tips to win

Use the three visible seconds to lock in your rhythm, then keep counting at exactly that pace.
Count “one-thousand-and-one, one-thousand-and-two…”, whole words slow you down to real seconds.
Being a little late is no worse than being a little early, so do not rush the final tap.

How a match works

Open the game on your device and press play.
Get matched with someone straight away, or send a friend your private room link and wait for them to join.
Both of you play at the same time; the server keeps the two screens in step. A match takes about 3 minutes.
Lost your connection? Come back within a minute and the match carries on where it stopped.

Questions

Can I play Perfect Timing online with a friend?

Yes. Open Perfect Timing, choose to play a friend and send them the private room link, they open it on their own phone or computer and the match starts when you are both ready. You can also invite a player by username, or take a quick match against whoever is waiting.

Is Perfect Timing free, and do I need an account?

It is free, with no download and no account needed: press play and you join as a guest. Create an account later if you want to keep your match history and earn a rating on the leaderboard.

Can my rival see my time while I play?

No. Both times are revealed together once you have both stopped, and the server times each tap, so a slow connection does not change your result.
