How to play Tic-Tac-Toe
The board is a 3×3 grid of nine empty squares. The server picks who goes first at random.
Take turns claiming one empty square each; your mark appears on both screens straight away.
Get three of your marks in a line (across, down or diagonally) to win.
If all nine squares fill up with no line of three, the game is a draw.
Ask for a rematch at the end: the player who went second starts the next game.

Tips to win
Going first, take the centre or a corner: both give you the most lines to build on.
Always check whether your rival has two in a line before you look for your own win.
Aim for a fork, one move that makes two lines of two at once, so only one can be blocked.
How a match works
Open the game on your device and press play.
Get matched with someone straight away, or send a friend your private room link and wait for them to join.
You take turns; each move appears on the other screen as soon as the server accepts it. A match takes about a minute.
Lost your connection? Come back within a minute and the match carries on where it stopped.

Questions
Can I play Tic-Tac-Toe online with a friend?
Yes. Open Tic-Tac-Toe, choose to play a friend and send them the private room link, they open it on their own phone or computer and the match starts when you are both ready. You can also invite a player by username, or take a quick match against whoever is waiting.
Is Tic-Tac-Toe free, and do I need an account?
It is free, with no download and no account needed: press play and you join as a guest. Create an account later if you want to keep your match history and earn a rating on the leaderboard.
Can you always win Tic-Tac-Toe?
No. With perfect play from both sides every game is a draw, so wins come from spotting a fork your rival missed. That is why it makes a quick warm-up rather than a long match.
Who goes first?
The first player is picked at random, and every rematch swaps who starts, so over a few games it evens out.
